Actress Ashley Judd
announced Thursday that she will not be advanced to the U.S. Senate against
Republican leader Mitch McConnell. She said that she had to give serious
attention to her campaign but then decided to focus responsibility and energy
to her family. Former Kentucky residents tweeted that decision.
"Sadly, I was not
able to rethink the campaign for the Senate. Residents I have spoken with
Kentucky for the last few months who have said their desire for new leaders and
fighters of the people," wrote Ashley.
"As for now it is
not me, I will continue to work as hard as I can to ensure the needs of
families in the Kentucky Senate seat returns to those who qualify, the people
and their needs, dreams, and their enormous potential. Thank you for
considering me and understand how much I love our state. thank you! "

44-year-old Ashley
hinted last week that she has decided it is approaching the political battle.
Living in suburban
Nashville, Tenn., Ashley says little interest to the public. Even so, she has
met with several leaders of the Democratic party, including Governor Steve
Beshear to discuss the possibility of filing.
Defeat Mitch is the
greatest gift to Democrats in the 2014 elections. Her chair is one of the 14
seats while Republicans defended Democrats try to defend 21 seats, hoping to
maintain or increase their limits to 55-45 seats.
